CURRENT SINGLE: “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” w/ Ashley McBryde
Carly Pearce achieved one of the ultimate items on her career bucket list when she became a member of the Grand Ole Opry on August 3, 2021, but she’ll never forget her first visit to watch other people perform on her favorite stage on earth. “The first time I actually got to go to the Opry, I think I was 15, 16,” says Carly. “I just freaked out. My mom got us like second row tickets because she knew that I had to see it up close.”
Carly distinctly remembers one funny detail about her first night at the Opry as a fan over 15 years ago. “I wore a little white tank top because Dierks Bentley was there,” she confesses. “And he was a new artist, and he was singing ‘What Was I Thinkin’, which is funny.”
Carly has never shared that story with Dierks, but now the reigning CMA and ACM Female Vocalist says, “Maybe I’ll tell him that someday.”
