Carly Pearce’s 2018 touring schedule is a pretty incredible one, having opened for Blake Shelton earlier this year, now out on the road with Rascal Flatts and joining Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett later this year. For Carly, being invited on all those tours is a big deal. She says, “I’m such a fan … and the fact that they thought I was the right girl power to be on their tour is such an honor, because all of those artists represent a different part of country music and I think you have a wide variety. There’s a very different audience and a different show when you look at Blake Shelton than there is to Luke Bryan.”
Not only does Carly consider being invited on tour an honor, but she says, “When I got the call for each tour I freaked out because it was the fan girl in me, but also understanding that wow, I have a responsibility to make sure that I open their show in a way that makes them happy to have me on tour.”
Based on all the rave reports and reviews from the road, and the videos of fans screaming the lyrics to her latest single, “Hide the Wine,” back to her at the top of their lungs, Carly seems to be making everybody happy.
Carly Pearce – lone girl on big tours :38
“I’m such a fan – Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett – and the fact that they thought I was the right girl power to be on their tour is such an honor, because all of those artists represent a different part of country music and I think you have a wide variety. There’s a very different audience and a different show when you look at Blake Shelton than there is to Luke Bryan. And all of them have been so gracious to me, and when I got the call for each tour I freaked out because it was the fan girl in me, but also understanding that wow, I have a responsibility to make sure that I open their show in a way that makes them happy to have me on tour.”
