Carly Pearce recently opened up to the All Our Favorite People podcast (available on AllOurFavoritePeople.com) about the moment she realized she had serious feelings for her boyfriend, Michael Ray, and coming to grips with the fact that she was in another relationship when she made that realization. “I knew Michael for a few years and in February we played this radio show together and he was sitting next to me,” recalls Carly.  “My best girlfriend was my keyboard player for a long time and I looked over at him and I looked at her and I was like, ‘He is so hot.’ And she was like, ‘Yes, he is.’  But it’s more than that. ‘Uh-oh, I think I have a crush on him.’”

Carly had a boyfriend at the time, but when someone from her record label offered to find out if Michael was single, Carly couldn’t resist finding out, and she says, “I remember I was dating somebody at the time and I was like I have to break this off because even if it’s not Michael Ray, I shouldn’t feel this way about somebody else.”

Carly did the right thing and broke things off with her boyfriend at the time, which freed the “Hide the Wine” singer up to explore her feelings for Michael, and the rest, as they say, is history.  The two are now madly in love and are very open about their relationship on Instagram where they often leave very flirtatious comments on one another’s posts.
