(AUDIO) CARLY PEARCE WAS MORE INTERESTED IN THE GOATS THAN THE YOGA DURING GOAT YOGA

Carly Pearce is a big believer in eating healthy and working out. She is an avid runner and she recently discovered an indoor cycling studio she enjoys, but perhaps her most interesting workout to date has been goat yoga. It’s a practice that involves doing yoga with real life baby goats somehow incorporated into the yoga, sometimes just jumping on you while you do yoga, but definitely keeping it interesting. According to Carly, “I mean maybe some people really do go with the intention of practicing yoga. I went with the intention of cuddling goats. They come out, they run outside, they have little ties on and they’re so cute and they don’t even look real. I don’t know how to explain it, like if you’ve never been close to a miniature goat, they’re just so cute and you feed them leaves and the only time I ever got into a yoga pose was because I saw and heard that they would jump on your back.”

While Carly enjoyed goat yoga, she does say it had its downside.  “They are a lot heavier than you would think too. I had some battle wounds, some bruises from them. I’m not really sure what the point of it is. But I mean it’s goats it’s just an experience I guess.”

In between running, cycling and yoga, Carly is preparing to release her debut album, Every Little Thing, on October 13th.

“I mean maybe some people really do go with the intention of practicing yoga. I went with the intention of cuddling goats. They come out, they run outside, they have little ties on and they’re so cute and they don’t even look real. I don’t know how to explain it, like if you’ve never been close to a miniature goat, they’re just so cute and you feed them leaves and the only time I ever got into a yoga pose was because I saw and heard that they would jump on your back. And so there’s pictures of me on social media with like a go on my back a goat on my leg. But they are a lot heavier than you would think too. I had some battle wounds, some bruises from them. I’m not really sure what the point of it is. But I mean it’s goats it’s just an experience I guess.”
