(AUDIO) CARLY PEARCE WILL CROSS ANOTHER ITEM OFF HER BUCKET LIST ON THANKSGIVING

Carly Pearce will spend part of her Thanksgiving performing in the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which is something she has always dreamed of doing.  Carly says, “The Macy’s Day Parade is a very significant part of my family’s Thanksgiving every year. We turn it on every morning. I, every year, have envisioned one day being able to do that parade. And the fact that this year, yet again, I get to cross something off my bucket list because of country radio and because of country fans—that’s amazing.”

Carly just released her brand new single, “Closer to You,” and she says, “What a better way to be able to celebrate this month of releasing my new single and starting this new celebration of my next record than the Macy’s Day Parade.”

Anyone who’s ever visited New York City during the holidays knows it can be very festive, from ice skating at Rockefeller Center to getting frozen hot chocolates at Serendipity to Christmas shopping.  Carly says, “I’ll be there for rehearsals that week, so I should definitely take advantage of that. So I need to do something of that sort because I’ve never experienced New York at Christmas or just around the holidays in general.”

But as soon as Carly is finished performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, she’ll be flying home to spend the rest of her Thanksgiving with her family.

“I’ll be there for rehearsals that week, so I should definitely take advantage of that. So I need to do something of that sort because I’ve never experienced New York at Christmas or just around the holidays in general, and I know that they’ll be getting ready for that with the Thanksgiving Day Parade. But I’ll be flying as soon as I’m done to be with my family. “
