Cassadee Pope’s latest single, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart” is about one person having the upper hand in love, or some people might view it as someone who’s had their heart broken, who wishes they could turn the tables. Cassadee admits that when it comes to love, “I’m pretty stand-offish at first. I don’t like to make myself completely vulnerable right off the bat. I think it’s important to kinda set the boundary first and get to know the person and see if they’re worth you completely exposing yourself emotionally.”
At the same time, Cassadee says you can’t be standoffish for too long or it could backfire. “I do think there’s a limit to that,” she says. “If you start to do that too often and too long, you start to close yourself off from love and that’s never a good thing.”
“I Wish I Could Break Your Heart” is the follow up to Cassadee’s debut single, “Wasting All These Tears.”

Cassadee Pope – approach to love :29
“I’m pretty stand-offish at first. I don’t like to make myself completely vulnerable right off the bat.
