When Cassadee Pope recorded “Think of You” with Chris Young, she probably had no idea how huge the song would be. It’s her first #1 song of her career and it also earned her her very first CMA Award nomination. “I’m so incredibly excited to be nominated for a CMA this year, especially with my good friend, Chris Young, for “Think of You” for Musical Event of the Year,” says Cassadee. “And I just look back on all of the artists that have always inspired me like June Carter and Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty, who have all been nominated in the past for this specific award. So I’m just touched that I’m amongst those artists, along with all of the artists that are nominated this year. It’s just a huge honor and I’m extremely grateful.”
Cassadee is out on tour with Chris now for the winter leg of his I’m Comin’ Over Tour, but they’re both definitely going to be taking a break and attending the 50th Annual CMA Awards, this Wednesday night in Nashville, and live on ABC.
