Cassadee Pope spent most of the last year working on her sophomore album, which she’ll release later this year, featuring her current single, “I Am Invincible.” During the last year she also kept her eyes on her peers in country music and she says, “The competitive side of me definitely came out when I saw all of my peers on TV or coming out with their singles and doing really well.”
Cassadee is especially proud of her fellow female artists but she says, “The competitive side of me was like, alright, I’m gonna come out with something and it’s gonna be great. And this is the perfect entry for me back into the music scene. I’m excited.”
Cassadee’s sophomore album is due out later this year.

“I’ve basically been writing for eight months straight, five days a week, and the competitive side of me definitely came out when I saw all of my peers on TV or coming out with their singles and doing really well, and of course, I am happy for everybody, especially for the women that are making a huge splash. But, the competitive side of me was like, alright, I’m gonna come out with something and it’s gonna be great. And this is the perfect entry for me back into the music scene. I’m excited.”
