Cassadee Pope recently had a chance to spend some time with her boyfriend Rian Dawson in Europe, while his band, All Time Low, was on tour over there. She chronicled a lot of her trip on Instagram and she says, “My favorite city was Rome. I got to learn so much about their history. I’ve never been in a place that goes so far back in history. The Colosseum just blows my mind. All those caves, all of the underground tunnels, just what happened there, it’s just crazy that that’s still standing. That people can walk around and actually touch where people have sat and watched these barbaric things happen. And the food was amazing.”
Cassadee, whose new single, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart,” was just released, says if she could go back to Europe and spend two weeks exploring any city she’d want to go back to Rome because she feels like she only got a taste of all the rich history the city has to offer. She laughs and says, “I got to see the Sistine Chapel, but I kind of ran through the Vatican because I knew I wanted to see that and we had to make some dinner reservations.”
She hopes to one day get back to take all the tours and truly experience all the city has to offer.

But, you really do need more than one day to see all of Rome. There’s so much to be seen, so much history, and if you do it right, take the tours, follow along with all the information that they’re giving you it could be such an incredible experience, and I only got a dose of it.”
