Cassadee Pope’s latest single, “I Am Invincible,” is a song about strength and courage and having a fighting spirit, and because of that, she often meets young people in her meet and greets who share experiences of being bullied in school and how her song has affected them in a positive way. Cassadee admits that she never really had to deal with being bullied in school, but she often felt like she didn’t fit in with any particular group or clique. But to those who are being bullied, Cassadee says, “I just hope that people realize those people are bullying because they are insecure and they have problems at home, or they have horrible experiences just in general. But it’s hard, it’s hard if you’re already insecure and you’re being bullied it heightens that.”
While Cassadee is always happy to listen to her fans who come through her meet and greets and want to share their stories, she says, “What I tell people is, especially if I feel like a story is leaning more towards the self-harm direction, I always encourage them to then go to a professional and get help that way ‘cause I’m never gonna sit here and say I’m on that level of a therapist or, I can help you in this way. All I can do is write music and hopefully help people through that.”

“I always felt al little weird in school. I wasn’t bullied so I didn’t have to go through that experience, but when fan talk to me about how they’re being bullied and…I have friends that are my age now who were bullied and it has affected them long term.
