Cassadee Pope co-wrote her latest single, “Summer,” with Kelly Archer, Emily Shackelton, and she says when they were writing it, “I definitely wanted it to be nostalgic and have it be a song about reminiscing on something. And, you know, the thought of a summer romance, to me, just feels very passionate and powerful, but it’s short-lived. That’s what the song’s about. It’s about how nothing bad really happened, it was just an amazing fling that had to end at some point.”
“Summer” is the title track off Cassadee’s new EP, which features three other new songs, two of which were also co-written by Cassadee. Summer the EP is available now.
