Cassadee Pope’s latest single, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart,” is about someone who is more vulnerable in a relationship and risks having their heart broken by the other person, and she says a lot of her fans are definitely relating to the song. “I’ve had a lotta stories where people come to me and tell me, I am that person in the relationship, I feel like I’m giving all of myself and the other person is not appreciating it or not giving it back. So, we all kinda fear to be that person in the relationship, and we just hope that it’s an even playing field.”

Cassadee admits that she tends to be slow to allow herself to be vulnerable in a relationship, but she also knows you can’t hold back forever and that at some point you have to take a risk and open your heart up, even if it means it could be broken somewhere down the line.
