Chaley Rose, who plays Zoey Dalton on ABC’s Nashville, is happy that her character is developing a little more depth and meat in the third season of the show. “It is exciting,” says Zoey. “This is my first time ever developing a character, so it’s a really cool process.”

Until this season, Zoey was mostly known as Scarlett’s friend and didn’t have any real plot lines of her own. Chaley says, “I realize that through the seasons Zoey is benevolent. She’s pretty positive and she kinda drove other people’s plots and I didn’t give her any negative qualities as we put her together. So now I’m shooting and I get to have some really negative qualities that I get to acknowledge, and it is fun.”
