Chris Janson has two kids and two bonus kids with his wife Kelly Lynn, and they all have their own unique talents, but it’s Chris’ 10-year-old son Jesse, who seems to be destined to follow in his dad’s footsteps when it comes to being a musician and a singer.

“All of my kids are such stars in their own right. They all have some incredible passions and energies and things that they’re really remarkable at. Jesse just has that one thing naturally. He wakes up, he doesn’t care what you think, he doesn’t really care what he looks like, which is an awesome trait to have at a young age. And he loves to be on stage. And I wasn’t like, ‘Hey, you wanna get on stage with dad?’ You know, I’m not that guy at all. Originally, I was kind of the guy that was, I’d be like, no way, no way. I don’t think I can keep Jesse out of the limelight if I tried. There’s nothing I could say to deter him from doing what he does naturally. So, as rough as the music business and tumbly as it can be sometimes, you know what? At the end of the day, I’ve had a pretty fair shake. If it weren’t through the low times, I wouldn’t be in the high times. And Jesse and all my kids, everybody, every human being has to experience that. I think he’ll be just fine. And I hope … I hope he’s an even bigger star than he already is.”
