CURRENT SINGLE – “Learn From It”
When Conner Smith released his debut single, “Learn from It,” which is his current single, he talked about some of the career moments on his bucket list. One thing Conner was dreaming of, he said, “I cannot wait for the day I get to play the Opry.”
As a kid, Conner’s parents used to take him to the Grand Ole Opry, so he has a lot of memories of going there, including the night that sparked his songwriting creativity. “You know, the first song I ever wrote was, I went to the Opry with my family and Hal Ketchum was playing. And I went home and change the words, but kept the melody to his song ‘Sure Love.’ So, that was the first song that I ever wrote at six years old was inspired by the Opry, and so I’m earnestly awaiting the day that I’ll get to walk on that stage and sing some of my songs.”
And it looks like the wait is over for Conner, who will be making his Grand Ole Opry debut this Saturday, May 28th. You can watch Conner’s debut live on Circle TV, which is available through cable, streaming and online services, or listen live on SiriusXM’s Willie’s Roadhouse, channel 59.
