DEBUT SINGLE – “Learn From It”
With CMA Fest kicking off in Nashville this week, Conner Smith is about to have one of the busiest weeks of his career so far, including three different meet and greets, multiple interviews and five different performances in four days, including opening for Thomas Rhett at a special show at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works on Tuesday night. When Conner was preparing for all that was to come in 2022, he thought of two words to help him navigate weeks like this one – discipline and stillness. “In the midst of all the craziness,” says Conner, “just staying disciplined in who I am and things that make me run the best, you know, workin’ out and gettin’ good sleep and eating right and all those things, as well as stillness.”
While he may have to put stillness on the back burner for a few days, Conner says for his life, that word means, “Just finding spaces where I can just be alone and be quiet and not have to be turned on as Conner Smith the artist every now and then are two things that I’m kinda lookin’ at and tryin’ to make priority of.”
As crazy as CMA Fest can be particularly for newer artists, Conner is living his dream, so we know he’s loving every minute of it. Our only recommendation – make sure someone with you always has water, hand sanitizer or wipes and a Sharpie, and wear comfortable shoes.
