DEBUT SINGLE – “Learn From It”
Conner Smith sings about a lot of lessons he learned the hard way in his debut single, “Learn from It,” including the line about “A bad first kiss, But when you’re 17, it’s everything.” He changed his age in the song, but otherwise Conner says his first kiss, “Oh, it was bad. I was 15. It was with this girl who was like my first crush, you know. Went in for the kiss and it didn’t land.”
That’s how that line ended up in Conner’s song, but he didn’t mind sharing because he says, “You know, everybody’s got a bad story of a bad first kiss, and mine was definitely not my best moment.”
A couple other real-life lessons were slightly altered in the writing of the song, but otherwise, Conner says “Learn from It” is pretty much based on true stories.
