Conner Smith’s brand new single is “Take It Slow,” and he talks about how the song came together in the writing room with his co-writers.

“So, ‘Take It Slow is pretty simply just about a night with a girl that you don’t want to end. I wrote the song with Ryan Hurd and Mark Trussell. I had the title, ‘Take It Slow,’ Mark started playing that guitar part that’s on it, and Ryan started to spit that melody. And we just kinda started running with it And we just tried to take paint this picture of this night with this girl. It says, ‘She said take it slow,’ and it’s just kind of this girl looking it at me and saying, you know, I don’t want this night to end. You know, whether it be the car or the kiss or the night, let’s just take it slow.”
