DEBUT SINGLE – “Learn From It”
Conner Smith’s debut single, “Learn from It,” is all about learning lessons the hard way. There’s a line in the song that says, “And I got this scar and broke my arm when I tried to jump that fence,” and Conner says that’s kind of true. “I broke my arm when I was in sixth grade. I jumped a desk actually, and there’s all these scars cause I had to get surgery and rods in my arms and all that. But it says ‘I jumped a fence,’ but I really jumped a desk.”
That was definitely a lesson learned the hard way for Conner, who also says, “I broke my wrist a little bit later playing football. So, I broke those two bones, but for the most part I stayed pretty healthy. And I always played baseball which isn’t the most contact sport.”
But there’s also that line in “Learn from It” that says, “Like that summer cuttin’ grass, savin’ cash to buy that truck I crashed in three months.” Conner admits, “I’ve definitely wrecked like three cars and gotten hurt that way too.”
