Danielle Bradbery has been dating her boyfriend, L.A. model, Bennett Jonas, for over a year, and she revealed that the relationship all started with her sliding into his DM’s on Instagram. “I came across his picture and I’m like wow he is very handsome,” Danielle confessed. “And I normally don’t react that way, and I see pictures, I see guys all the time, and I’m like ‘Yeah, they’re cute, whatever.’ But I’m like something about him is just speaking out to me a little bit more.”
So, naturally, Danielle did a little sleuthing around on Bennett’s account and checked out his profile and his pictures to see what she could learn about him, and she says, “He’s super adventurous and I love that. I like a guy that’s very active and just outdoorsy, all the things.”
It was a first for Danielle, but she worked up the courage to drop him a direct message, and she said, “Hey, have you ever been to Nashville?” And after about a day he won her over when he replied, “’Never have I ever. Have you ever been to L.A.?,’ because “Never Have I Ever” is the name of her new single, which wasn’t even out at the time.
After talking over social media and through texts, Danielle and Bennett had a chance to meet, and she says, “It clicked. It was the type of thing where I’m like, I feel like I’ve known you for a long time and this feeling is special.”
Even though Bennett wasn’t in the picture when Danielle co-wrote “Never Have I Ever,” she feels like she might have manifested him by writing that song, because she was writing about the kind of love she hoped to find, and she found it in him.

“I am always on Instagram, and I was on what’s called the Explore page, and that brings up accounts that may relate to you and things that you like. And I came across his picture and I’m like wow he is very handsome. And of course, I had never done anything like that before, and I just mustered up the strength and said, ‘Hey, have you ever been to Nashville?’ And it took, I think, him a day, and that was his first response was, ‘Never have I ever. Have you ever been to L.A.?’ And I’m like, ‘Actually, I have.’ And we continued to talk and finally met in person and it clicked. It was the type of thing where I’m like, I feel like I’ve known you for a long time and this feeling is special.”
