Sometimes when artists record a duet, they do it separately and are never together in a recording studio. Danielle Bradbery originally thought that’s how she and Thomas Rhett would have to record “Goodbye Summer,” but she says, “We actually got to get in studio together and I was really excited that we were able to do that … I always love that because you kind of get the vibe of what they’re feeling and they might have an idea that they want me to do. And that’s exactly what happened, so it worked out perfectly and I was happy that we were able to get together in person.”
Besides singing with Danielle on “Goodbye Summer,” Thomas was also a co-writer of the song.
Danielle Bradbery – being in studio with Thomas Rhett :36
“Recording ‘Goodbye Summer’ was a little bit of a process. There was moments where Thomas Rhett did his part somewhere else. I wasn’t even there. But by the end of it we actually got to get in studio together. And I was really excited that we were able to do that. And at first I honestly thought we weren’t. I was like, ‘Okay, well, that’s fine. We’ll record our separate parts and then we’ll live with it.’ But we got to get in the studio together and I always love that because you kind of get the vibe of what they’re feeling and they might have an idea that they want me to do. And that’s exactly what happened, so it worked out perfectly and I was happy that we were able to get together in person.”
