Delta Rae is a big supporter of teachers. In fact, on their tour last year, they did a tickets for teachers promotion where they offered free tickets to their shows for select teachers who were nominated by other people in the community. While they all have a great love for teachers, they admit they weren’t always the best behaved students.
Liz, whose mother was the principle of her school, says she “got in trouble for talking in class a lot.”
Brittany had the same problem. She says, “I was routinely called out for chatting a lot in class, much like one Liz Hopkins, my best friend and band mate. I also dropped out of school, so that was both an act of defiance, but also it meant that I went to a community college and had amazing professors there and just had an all new experience with great teachers teaching me there. So that’s when I really was able to be a better student.”
Delta Rae recently released their new single, “No Peace in Quiet,” which is available on their new EP, The Blackbird Sessions.
