Delta Rae’s latest single, “No Peace In Quiet,” is a very haunting and personal song that was co-written by band member, Eric Holljes. Because it was inspired by a very personal experience, Eric says, “Phew I don’t know if I’m ready to talk about that song yet.” But after a deep breath he explains, “‘No Peace In Quiet’ I wrote with two great Nashville writers, Adam Wood and Tiffany Goss. And I think that song is about, well for me, it’s about needing to get used to a quiet house after a breakup and how hard that is. And I actually moved to Nashville because I couldn’t get used to it. But I know it’s something different for everybody.”
While the song represents the end of a relationship for Eric, Delta Rae believes “No Peace In Quiet” can represent the loss of a loved one, the end of a marriage or the end of any type of relationship.
