Delta Rae’s current single, “No Peace in Quiet,” was co-written by band member Eric Holljes (WHOLE-jis) after a very painful break-up, but the band is learning that the song is taking on a lot of different meanings for their fans. According to Liz Hopkins, “I think it’s been really interesting performing that song on the road because when we speak to people after the shows it’s clear that that song resonates with people for all different reasons. For someone it might be about a breakup. For another person it’s about when they lost their dog. For others, it’s losing a parent or losing anyone that’s close to you.”
Ultimately, Liz believes no matter the circumstance in someone’s life that causes them to relate to “No Peace In Quiet,” the song offers a common experience. She says, “I think it offers a lot of catharsis for anyone that’s ever gone through an experience of just having to get used to life without whoever that person or creature might be that meant the world to you.”
