(AUDIO) DRAKE WHITE COULD HAVE OWNED A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

Before Drake White started pursuing music as his full-time career, he graduated from the Auburn University with a degree in Building Science.  Had he not gone into music, Drake says, “I think I was going for my own construction company. I’ve always been an entrepreneur and I always had that spirit so I wanted to build commercial buildings and residential just all types of construction.”

And while he’s not fully putting his degree to use these days, Drake is thankful for the knowledge and the education because in addition to learning about structural engineering, he also learned a lot about business, which will always come in handy, no matter what field he’s in.

Drake White’s latest single is “Makin’ Me Look Good Again,” off his album, Spark.

Drake White – plans for college degree  :28

“I think I was going for my own construction company. I’ve always been an entrepreneur and I always had that spirit so I wanted to build commercial buildings and residential just all types of construction. Yeah, building sciences was great for me at Auburn and it was one of the majors that encompassed a lot of different subjects. I mean we were learning about the structures of concrete, metal and wood and the structural integrity of all of those, so it covered a lot of engineering, but it also covered a lot of business as well.”
