(AUDIO) DRAKE WHITE EXPLAINS HOW NATURE INSPIRES HIS MUSIC

Drake White gets a lot of inspiration for the songs he writes from being outside in nature.  He says, “I think you just go out there and you take everything in, and I have to concentrate, and I kind of pride myself on being quiet, listening. I know my band will be like, yeah right! But if you just be quiet for a second, listen to the birds and listen to the way that the Earth is spinning and kind of the vibrations of nature, I mean that’s where I get inspired.”

Drake realizes the idea of listening to the Earth spinning might sound a little peculiar to some people, but he says, “I pride myself on being a little bit of left of center.”

Drake’s wife, Alex, was the inspiration for his latest single, “Makin’ Me Look Good Again.”  By the way, Drake has been nominated for the Grammy Artist of Tomorrow by his good friend, Zac Brown.  Voting is open through February 8th.  It takes less than 20 seconds to vote, and you can do so once a day.
