Drake White and his wife would one day love to have a family of their own, which sometimes seems a little daunting with Drake out on the road on tour all the time, but seeing some of his tour mates balance both has given him hope that it’s possible. “Little Big Town was good with it,” says Drake. “They had all of their kids and family out there in different busses. Zac [Brown], we went to the Columbus Zoo with his kids, which is where Jack Hanna is from. He’s been great to us about coming out there and just watching Zac interact with his kids.”
There may never be a perfect right time to start a family when you’re a touring musician, but Drake says, “It’s been very, very comforting to know that it’s very, very possible to live a normal life, cause that’s all I’ve really wanted is a normal life. But the crazier the music gets and the bigger your popularity gets, the harder it is to be ‘normal.’ But I think through the spiritual groundedness of the way I was raised and through seeing Zac and seeing Little Big Town and all of those guys out there with their family and just having them on the road. How it’s possible and they’re happy.”
No doubt that once Drake starts his family and finds that balance with his career, he’ll be “Livin’ the Dream,” like he sings about in his latest single.

Drake White – Zac Brown kids on road 1:01
“Little Big Town was good with it too. They had all of their kids and family out there in different busses. Zac, we went to the Columbus Zoo with his kids, which is where Jack Hanna is from. He’s been great to us about coming out there and just watching Zac interact with his kids. You know, my wife was a kindergarten teacher for seven years. So she’s a kid magnet and always been very, very kid friendly. We’ve always wanted that. It’s just a matter of getting our life where we want to get it and get comfortable enough to where we can focus on that. It’s been very, very comforting to know that it’s very, very possible to live a normal life, cause that’s all I’ve really wanted is a normal life. But the crazier the music gets and the bigger your popularity gets, the harder it is to be “normal.” But I think through the spiritual groundedness of the way I was raised and through seeing Zac and seeing Little Big Town and all of those guys out there with their family and just having them on the road.
