Drake White says 4th of July is one of his absolute favorite holidays, and he loves spending the day on the lake or the river or the beach with a big fireworks display. But he admits fireworks are something he loves all year long and he often has to set a limit on his spending when he gets to a fireworks stand. “If you go from my hometown to Nashville you go past my Monteagle Mountain and there are the biggest fireworks stands there, I wanna say in the nation,” explains Drake. “So, every time I go by there I walk in and just try not to spend over $200 on fireworks, because you never know when a good firework’s gonna be needed. So, like if there’s weddings I’m gonna sneak around and throw a fireworks show just because I love fireworks.”

Drake will be working on the 4th of July this year, with a show in Columbus, Ohio, but with his obsession with fireworks, you never know if he might set up an impromptu fireworks show somewhere near the venue. Perhaps he’ll shoot a few off when he sings his latest single, “It Feels Good.”
