Drake White just released his debut single on Dot Records, “It Feels Good,” and he says when it comes to songwriting, he loves to write thoughts and ideas down in journals, and there’s one approach that he focuses on the most. He says, “I’ve always been absolutely obsessed, this is the biggest obsession, is how I can verbalize and go in and put different words together. There’s a hundred different ways to write a love song, but if you can come up with different ways to say it, and I like that surprise on somebody’s face when they say, I’ve never heard it said like that. ‘Cause that’s my take on it. That’s my vision on what I think love is.”
Drake will join Darius Rucker on the road this summer on his Southern Style Tour, which kicks off May 14th in Holmdel, New Jersey.
