Drake White grew up in rural Alabama, where he learned to live off the land and survive in the great outdoors, and that’s a skill set he’s thankful to have. “I think that the element of being able to survive on your own skills alone is a great tool to have,” says Drake.

He says knowing he could survive off the land if need be gives him a certain bit of confidence, and in turn, Drake says, “It makes you a better performer, it makes you a better person, it makes you more complete to know that if you had to do that that you could survive.”

Lately, Drake has been surviving the rigors of traveling to radio stations all over the country promoting his new single, “It Feels Good,” which will be on his debut album for Dot Records, which he’ll release later this year.
