Drake White prides himself on his outdoor skills and his ability to survive. He says, “John Eldredge’s book ‘Wild at Heart’ is a great book that kinda plays that over. I think that the spirit of a man’s soul, or a woman’s soul, is in the outdoors, mine at least…and I think we yearn for that adventure, and we yearn for that thought that we could survive in it if dealt those cards.”
While he hasn’t had to truly test his survival skills yet, Drake says, “I think I’ve been taught very well by my ancestors to the ways of the woods, if you will, and I would actually enjoy the opportunity. In an emergency type situation, I believe that I could survive.”
For now, Drake’s focus is on surviving the hectic schedule of promoting his single, “It Feels Good,” plus he will be touring all summer before joining Little Big Town in the fall for their tour.
