Drake White’s latest single, “Livin’ the Dream,” is approaching the top ten on the charts, and while he’s excited to have a hit song on his hands, he’s more excited about growing his platform to be able to do good and shine a spotlight on giving back. Drake says, “Everybody gets tired, everybody gets beat down in the everyday grind of work and life and you know dealing with family and friends and everything like that. Everybody gets beat down. But it’s a revitalization of the soul and of the spirit to go give your time. And to see somebody actually benefit from it and appreciate it and then see the fruits of that time and the fruits of your labor turn into something bigger, that’s my thing.”
Drake has already used his spotlight to give back to several charitable organizations and great causes such as the Boys and Girls Club, the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and many others, and he says, “It’s not hard what I’m doing it’s just the being willing to go and give your time. That’s what is initiating all this kind of this movement. And that’s what I want to do through this musical platform is to start a movement of kindness you know, just of hope and of happiness.”
Drake White’s ultimate goal is to open a camp for kids where they will learn life skills and be able to explore career possibilities.
