Like all musicians, Eli Young Band was sidelined from touring during the pandemic, and for them it was a real eye-opener because they have always been a touring band and always spent a good part of every year for the last 20 plus years on the road. “We really got to enjoy our families over this whole deal, but we also really realized how much we had in touring and singing these songs night after night and getting to play in front of live audiences,” says lead guitarist James Young.
Once the pandemic slowed down and Eli Young Band was able to get back out on the road, James says, And so, “We played every song with a new enthusiasm as you did when you first released a record or somethin’, and you have all these new songs to play. And it was just kind of like a rebirth of the excitement to play ‘em in front of people.”
So now EYB gets to play their new song, “Love Talking” and their old songs with a renewed enthusiasm, during their live shows.
