(AUDIO) Eli Young Band Has Fun With Halloween On Stage

When you’re a traveling band, there’s a good chance that you’ll be working on holidays like Halloween, which is often the case for the Eli Young Band, but they still find a way to have some fun even when they are working.  “We’ve dressed up on quite a few Halloweens,” says drummer Chris Thompson.  He recalls two of their better costumes were the year they dressed up as the cast of South Park and the year they dressed up as Star Wars characters.  “We had Chewbacca, we had Darth Vadar, we had Han Solo, we had Yoda, we had Luke Skywalker, of course.  It was really funny because by the end of the night, we were all switching masks and having a good time and it was a riot.”  This year the guys won’t be on stage singing their latest hit, “Drunk Last Night,” on Halloween, as it appears they have the night off.

Chris – “We’ve dressed up on quite a few Halloweens and I think, let’s see, there’s two Halloweens in particular that come to mind as far as best costumes.  One was—we were doing a show in Colorado and we dressed up all as South Park characters.  The big gloves and the masks and all that kinda get in the way performing but we definitely had a good time and the crowd was totally entertained.  Another time we dressed up as Star Wars characters.  We had Chewbacca, we had Darth Vadar, we had Han Solo, we had Yoda, we had Luke Skywalker, of course.  It was really funny because by the end of the night, we were all switching masks and having a good time and it was a riot.”
