(AUDIO) ELI YOUNG BAND IS DIVIDED OVER TURKEY GIBLETS

CURRENT SINGLE: “Saltwater Gospel (Fins Up version)” feat. Jimmy Buffett

The members of Eli Young Band agree on a lot of things, but Thanksgiving dinner might not be one of them.  When we asked the guys what their must-have Thanksgiving dish was, James Young said, “Dressing is one of those Thanksgiving dishes that, I mean, you don’t get it all year round, but good dressing.”

Mike Eli agreed and added that he likes his dressing with giblet gravy.  Giblets are the liver, heart, gizzard, and neck of the turkey, which are usually packed inside the turkey and taken out and thrown away by a lot of people before they cook it, although some people use the parts to make gravy, which James is not a fan of.  Bassist Jon Jones concedes, “It’s not for everybody.”

While Mike can’t decide if giblet is pronounced with a hard G or a G that sounds like a J, all giblets make James think about is the dinner scene from National Lampoon Christmas Vacation where Eddie says, “Save the neck for me, Clark!”
