Eli Young Band makes their home in Texas, and while they love the Nashville music scene, unfortunately they rarely get to enjoy it when they’re in town. Mike Eli explains, “We actually rarely get to go out in Nashville when we’re in town, and that’s kind of a bummer for us – it’s something we have to go through as musicians – because we’re always working when people are playing.”
One way they get to see some of their friends in country music play live is when they’re on the same bill with them at festivals. But Mike says, “Unfortunately when we come to Nashville it’s all work and really early mornings, so we don’t get to go out as much as we’d like to and that’s kind of the bummer part of it.”
Eli Young Band doesn’t have a whole lot of time to catch live music these days while they’re out touring and promoting their new single, the title track of their new EP, Turn It On.
Eli Young Band’s new EP, Turn It On, will be available tomorrow, featuring their latest single, which is the title track.

Eli Young Band – shows in Nashville :33
Mike Eli – It’s funny because we actually rarely get to go out in Nashville when we’re in town, and that’s kind of a bummer for us – it’s something we have to go through as musicians – because we’re always working when people are playing. It’s funny, because when we actually do get time off every few years and we get to go see live shows … the fun part of festival season is that we get to go see live shows when we’re on the same bill with somebody. Unfortunately when we come to Nashville it’s all work and really early mornings, so we don’t get to go out as much as we’d like to and that’s kind of the bummer part of it.”
