With as much time as the guys in Eli Young Band spend on the road together, finding time to get off the bus and clear their heads every once in a while is important. Mike Eli says, “I think one of the things is we try to do a lot of outdoor stuff. The road can get a little stressful here and there, and when we are close to the ocean, we try to find a piece of water somewhere if we have time to go and rent some jet skis or something.”
Jon Jones jokes that it’s even better if they can find a friend with a boat that wants to come pick them up. But if that’s not an option, Jon says, “I like to go for a run. It feels like if you don’t try to get out and about a little bit, you never really leave the parking lot where the bus is parked… Going for a nice long run kind of helps me clear my head and, I don’t know, keeps me focused a little bit.”
Eli Young Band has dates through the end of November to promote their latest single, “Love Ain’t.” Check eliyoungband.com for their latest tour schedule.

Mike Eli – “I think one of the things is we try to do a lot of outdoor stuff. The road can get a little stressful here and there, and when we are close to the ocean, we try to find a piece of water somewhere if we have time to go and rent some jet skis or something. Jon Jones – “Or like a friend with a boat or something like that.”
Mike Eli – “Yeah, a friend with a boat.”

Jon Jones – “I like to go for a run. It feels like if you don’t try to get out and about a little bit, you never really leave the parking lot where the bus is parked.
