(AUDIO) ELI YOUNG BAND VALUES MIND-CLEARING TIME OFF THE BUS

With as much time as the guys in Eli Young Band spend on the road together, finding time to get off the bus and clear their heads every once in a while is important.  Mike Eli says, “I think one of the things is we try to do a lot of outdoor stuff. The road can get a little stressful here and there, and when we are close to the ocean, we try to find a piece of water somewhere if we have time to go and rent some jet skis or something.”

Jon Jones jokes that it’s even better if they can find a friend with a boat that wants to come pick them up.  But if that’s not an option, Jon says, “I like to go for a run. It feels like if you don’t try to get out and about a little bit, you never really leave the parking lot where the bus is parked… Going for a nice long run kind of helps me clear my head and, I don’t know, keeps me focused a little bit.”

Eli Young Band has dates through the end of November to promote their latest single, “Love Ain’t.”  Check eliyoungband.com for their latest tour schedule.

Eli Young Band – destress on road  :32

Mike Eli – “I think one of the things is we try to do a lot of outdoor stuff. The road can get a little stressful here and there, and when we are close to the ocean, we try to find a piece of water somewhere if we have time to go and rent some jet skis or something.  Jon Jones – “Or like a friend with a boat or something like that.”

Mike Eli – “Yeah, a friend with a boat.”

Jon Jones – “That’s wanting to come pick you up.”

Mike Eli – “Yeah that’s nice.”

Jon Jones – “I like to go for a run. It feels like if you don’t try to get out and about a little bit, you never really leave the parking lot where the bus is parked. But I feel like the same thing with going to the beach, clearing my head. Like going for a nice long run kind of helps me clear my head and, I don’t know, keeps me focused a little bit.”
