Eli Young Band’s latest single, “Break It In,” is all about things that get better with time, when you spend time with them and work on them, and that message connected with the band when they first heard the song, because it sort of reflects who they are and what they’re approach to life and to music has been. Lead singer Mike Eli also says, “‘Break It In’ is just … it feels good. It’s inspirational. We’ve always been kind of that band that says go work hard and you can make this happen for yourself. If you line up the work ethic and the luck and meeting the right person at the right time, and just doing everything you can to go out there and do that thing.”
As a band, they try to maintain a positive outlook on life and a belief that good things can happen if you stick it out, and, as the song says, “Break It In.” And Mike says, the song, “kind of follows along those lines of who we are as people and the optimism. But we kind of just felt like that positivity and that whole optimism thing.”
