(AUDIO) Eli Young Band Will Be Celebrating The Super Bowl In The Sun

The Eli Young Band will be hosting a big Super Bowl party this year, but rather than doing it in the freezing temperatures of New Jersey, where the game is being played at Met Life Stadium, the guys are going to the Dominican Republic. For one week they will be celebrating not only the Super Bowl, but the upcoming release of their new album with a lot of their fans who won the chance to hang with them in the Dominican Republic and Jon Jones says, “It’s worth noting that we’re flying there from Ypsilanti, Michigan. And I got nothin’ against Ypsilanti, Michigan, it’s a beautiful community, but I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be pretty cold there and we’re gonna be like ‘Oh we’re goin’ to the beach tomorrow, alright.’ It’s gonna be a great way to step out our regular routine for a couple days and the fact that we’ve never done anything where it’s like a flyaway ticket giveaway for a bunch of our fans to come down and see us somewhere like that. It’s just gonna be cool and I think a very memorable Super Bowl for all of us for sure.”

James Young agrees. “Last year we actually did get to go to the Super Bowl, which was pretty awesome. But New Orleans was a lot warmer than New Jersey. I think we’ll pass this year and go sit on the beach.”

Eli Young Band’s new album, 10,000 Towns, featuring their #1 song “Drunk Last Night,” and their brand new single, “Dust,” will be available on March 4th.

Eli Young Band – Dominican Republic Super Bowl :49
Mike Eli – “It’s nice to be able to go to the beach and get paid for it. We have really great jobs at the end of the day, period. But being able to go down to the Dominican Republic and celebrate your record about to come out and do that with some of the fans and the people that allow you to do this and live this life.”

Jon Jones – “It’s also fair worth noting that we’re flying there from Ypsilanti, Michigan and I got nothin’ against Ypsilanti, Michigan, it’s a beautiful community, but I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be pretty cold there and we’re gonna be like ‘Oh we’re goin’ to the beach tomorrow, alright.’ It’s gonna be a great way to step out our regular routine for a couple days and the fact that we’ve never done anything where it’s like a flyaway ticket giveaway for a bunch of our fans to come down and see us somewhere like that. Eli Young Band – predictions for Super Bowl :26
Jon Jones – “I like the Broncos, I feel very strongly. Well I love that Peyton Manning is their quarterback now. I want it to be one of the stadiums we’ve played, or one of the teams we’ve played in their stadiums. Obviously, it’ll be where the Giants play, and we did play there. So, that’s pretty special. In its own right.”

James Young – “Last year we actually did get to go to the Super Bowl, which was pretty awesome. But New Orleans was a lot warmer than New Jersey. I think we’ll pass this year and go sit on the beach.”
