The video for Eli Young Band’s latest song, “Break It In,” is a walk down memory lane for the band that has been together for over 20 years. They managed to pull together some pictures and videos from some of their early days on stage, in a van, in the recording studio and more, and one thing bassist Jon Jones reflected on were their early recording sessions. “Looking at those pictures reminded me, of the trial and error, the process that it was when we were first getting started and we would just hold up in a studio for like a whole week and stay there, and how much fun that was and how much we learned and grew as a band back then.”
The old pictures and videos also reminded Jon of how far not only the band has come, but technology in the studio has come. “There is some stuff of us in the studio, and it feels like the process of recording has changed quite a bit,” says Jon. “It’s much faster and efficient, and part of it is because we’ve gotten better, but also in the digital age, it’s just… it’s a different thing now.”
Eli Young Band is headlining their own tour through early April, then they’ll kick off a Canadian leg of the tour in mid-May.
