Jon Jones, the bass player for Eli Young Band, has a little boy named Hudson Lennon, who will be three this New Year’s Eve. Thinking back on some of his firsts, Jon recalls Hudson’s first haircut, which Jon says was probably more traumatic for him and his wife. “He absolutely loved it,” says Jon. “It’d gotten to the point where his long blonde locks were so long that he was being confused for a girl, multiple times a day, and I don’t think it was affecting him at all, but we were kind of sick and tired of it. We could dress him up in nothing but blue and a shirt that said ‘I’m a boy’ and they’d still call him a girl.”
Fortunately the haircutting experience has gotten easier for Jon and his wife these days. Ironically, Jon is the member of Eli Young Band whose head is shaved completely bald.
Eli Young Band is currently promoting their latest single, which is a duet of “Honey I’m Good” with Andy Grammer.
