When the guys in Eli Young Band all met, they were attending college and pursuing degrees in various fields, and Mike Eli says, “We all in the Eli Young Band, we actually all got our degrees. We finished school at North Texas and I have a degree in marketing and logistics.
As for what he planned to do with that degree, Mike says, “It’s really hard to see myself doing anything else. I know I was always infatuated with the music business. I always wanted to do this and play music for a living. But I did go to college. I don’t know if I would be using that for anything other than music. I would hope that I would still be in the music industry somewhere.”
Other than always dreaming of a career in music, Mike says, “I don’t know, might have been selling cars because I like cars. I don’t know.”
Eli Young Band just released “Saltwater Gospel (Fins Up version) featuring the legendary Jimmy Buffett, which all the guys consider a dream come true.
