Mother’s Day is this Sunday (May 9), and Eli Young Band lead singer, Mike Eli says it’s one of those holidays he actually tries a little harder. “I try to make it, especially for Mother’s Day, something thoughtful,” says Mike. “Because I think that my wife expects something that is truly saying that she’s special. You know, like a pillow monogrammed, that takes some time, you know?”
Bass player Jon Jones jokingly asks Mike, “Is that the project you’ve been doing in the back lounge of the bus this whole time?”
But Mike offers up his secret for really thoughtful gifts that basically just require you to order them. “You know what’s best for that?” he says. “Etsy. It makes you look a lot better that you put a lot more thought into Mother’s Day.”
