Mike Eli of Eli Young Band believes the New Year is a good time to evaluate where the band is at and where they’re headed, and to make some tweaks wherever necessary, but at the same time, he says, “I’m not a big fan of resolutions because I feel as if, like they all happen all at once and all these changes come in and everything needs to be all this new, new, new come January. And I feel like, it’s just like setting up for failure and so I have a really hard time with that.”
Rather than making a laundry list of things to change all at once in the New Year, Mike says,”I try to start thinking about, whether it’s changing the set lists, or moving around the shows, or coming up with new ideas, I have learned recently to try to make sure that that starts happening before January 1st.”
Eli Young Band will play their final show of 2019 this Saturday at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC. Then they’ll have about four weeks off before they get back out on tour and back to promoting their latest single, “Break It In.”
