Eli Young Band can’t help but think about some of their favorite beach memories when they think about their latest single, “Saltwater Gospel,” featuring Jimmy Buffett. Lead singer Mike Eli remembers going to the beach with his family when he was growing up. “When I was a kid, my grandparents had a condo down in Galveston, which is near where I grew up, and we would go down to that condo for two weeks every year and it was kind of a big family deal. It was almost like a family reunion for our family and extended family.”
According to Mike, it was quite the gathering because he says, “I had a huge family. My mom had ten brothers and sisters and so that was a lot of folks in a three-bedroom condo, but it was a really good time, and I think that was always something that I looked forward to every year when I was a kid.”
