When Florida Georgia Line first heard the demo for their latest song, “I Love My Country,” Tyler Hubbard says they loved it, but didn’t know right away that it was meant to be an FGL song. “Funny enough, I don’t think we ever thought about it at first. I think we just listened to it as a demo from (Cory) Crowder, and we get demos every week and we listen to ‘em, and that one just kind of kept sticking around.”
The song is a total earworm, and it was for Brian and Tyler, too. “That one was so catchy, so fun,” says Tyler. We even pitched it to a couple of buddies, and everybody loved it but it never ended up getting’ recorded.”
Even though it took ‘em a minute, Florida Georgia Line realized they should record the song. Tyler says they realized, “’This is a jam!’ You know, let’s put some FGL sauce on it and let’s see what (Cory) Crowder can do on this thing, and let’s get it out. So, this song kinda came to life and it turned into one of our favorites, and it was so much fun to create and bring to life.”
“I Love My Country” is off of FGL’s new 6-Pack EP, which is available now, wherever you stream or download music.
