(AUDIO) FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE BELIEVES IN PAYING IT FORWARD WITH THEIR NEWER OPENING ACTS

Florida Georgia Line will kick off their Smooth Tour this Friday, with Nelly and Chris Lane, plus three stadium shows with the Backstreet Boys.  When it comes to up and coming openers like Chris Lane or Kane Brown, who they had on their last tour, Brian Kelley says, “We’re big believers in bringing up people that we love, people that we get along with, people that we know can put on a good show, that are going to bring people out, get ‘em pumped up and have a good time. And I think it just comes down to the vibe and that we respect each other and we all love each other’s music so it’s an easy choice for us.”

It wasn’t long ago that FGL was trying to make their own way up the touring ladder, so Brian says, “It’s cool to be at that point where you can decide who you tour with. That’s something that we’ve been working towards because we’ve had a lot of help and a lot of people say, ‘Hey come get on the same stage with me and us and do your thing and allowed us, whether it’s five songs or 50 minutes or whatever.’ So yeah, we want to be that way. That’s what makes the world go ‘round.”
