Last year, Florida Georgia Line started their own song publishing company called Tree Vibez Music. According to Tyler Hubbard, it all started because of an unsigned writer they met named Jordan Schmidt. Tyler says, “(We) believed in him a ton and knew, man, this guy’s got a lot of talent. Let’s start a publishing company, let’s sign him, let’s get the ball rolling, see if we can get him connected.”
At the recent #1 party for Jason Aldean’s song, “Lights Come On,” which was co-written by FGL, Jordan, Jimmie Robbins and The Warren Brothers, Tyler said, “Now we’re here celebrating his first number one and Tree Vibez’s first number one and our dreams are coming true. And we’re just excited to have another platform to be able to create opportunities for younger writers and artists, especially writers though that we believe in and that are here to write hits.”
Jordan also co-wrote FGL’s latest single, “Smooth,” with Brian and Tyler and Nicolle Galyon, which means they’ll probably all be celebrating another #1 song in the future.
