(AUDIO) FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE FOUND FREEDOM WRITING ON THE ROAD

When Florida Georgia Line added a tour bus to their caravan for songwriters to come out on the road and write, it changed everything for them and allowed them to achieve a bit of a work life balance.  Because FGL loves writing songs so much and loved the writers they were bringing out, they were able to write the lion’s share of their Can’t Say I Ain’t Country album on the road while they were touring.  And Tyler Hubbard says, “If you did come home and write, it was because you just wanted to so badly. It wasn’t like, ‘Well, I’ve got a publishing deal and I need to write my songs this week, and so I need to hurry up and get in the studio.’ We knocked that out on the road and it just became writing songs because you wanted to write, and that was it. I think there’s a lot of freedom in that.”

Tyler and Brian were also very open to recording songs written by other people, which is how they found their latest single, “Talk You Out of It.”  But the songwriting bus was such a success for them and their writers that they plan to keep it rolling down the road for the foreseeable future.
