Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line have found no shortage of people who have an opinion about who they are, what kind of music they sing and how they should act, but Tyler says they don’t worry about those people because they know the truth. He told AXS TV, “Country’s a lifestyle, Country is bigger than just a genre’, bigger than just music and we grew up livin’ that lifestyle and we still continue to live that lifestyle. But I think we find it interesting when people are so quick to degrade us or act like we’re tryin’ to be somethin’ that we’re not, because actually, that’s the opposite of what we’re doin’. We’re just tryin’ to be ourselves and do it with love.”
With their latest song, “Sippin’ on Fire,” in the top five and still climbing the charts, it seems being themselves is working out quite nicely for Florida Georgia Line.

Florida Georgia Line – being ourselves (audio via AXS-TV) :29
Tyler Hubbard – “We’ve learned over the last couple years, everybody’s got an opinion and it’s funny ‘cause everybody want to tell us what you are, who you are and how you’re supposed to act, and this and that. But for us, Country’s a lifestyle, Country is bigger than just a genre’, bigger than just music and we grew up livin’ that lifestyle and we still continue to live that lifestyle, but I think we find it interesting when people are so quick to degrade us or act like we’re tryin’ to be somethin’ that we’re not, because actually, that’s the opposite of what we’re doin’. We’re just tryin’ to be ourselves and do it with love.”
